eLucid8
A Lucid-inspired language and runtime for multidimensional, demand-driven computation.
eLucid8 is dedicated to the memory of Edward A. Ashcroft, co-creator of Lucid and co-author of Multidimensional Programming.
eLucid8 explores how a program can define values over logical coordinates—time, space, tensor axes, or application-specific dimensions—and let a runtime compute requested values on demand. The runtime may store individual values or clusters of values and map that work onto physical clocks and devices.
The project takes inspiration from the Lucid family of intensional and dataflow languages. Its goal is to make the relationship between logical context, real time, storage granularity, and execution placement explicit and inspectable.

- Playground
Write a program, give it data, run a query and see why each value was computed. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is saved unless you sign in and save.
- Tutorial
The language, with examples: values over contexts, streams, aggregates, clocks, effects.
- Playground Tutorial
The playground itself, lesson by lesson.
